see a forwarded message from Rudy Malabanan. 

  Like parties and kickass turntabling with a bunch of kickass folk? Then you 
may dig Rudy's event on Friday, April 18, 2003. Rudy is planning to bring a 
group of five dope turntablists to Hampshire College. He needs help funding for 
this event. This sounds like a great opportunity for collaborative group 
funding and programming. Let Natalia and Sydney know what you think! This is 
something we could add to the agenda.

Hi Natalia and Sydney, 

I wanted to tell you that on Friday, April 18, 2003 I am organizing an event.  
I am bringing to Hampshire 5th Platoon, an Asian American turtablist group to 
come speak about their experience of how they got into hip hop, spin, and dj a 
party for S.O.U.R.C.e at the Tavern!  

5th Platoon is composed of five members.  Most of them are Filipino Americans 
with one member being Korean American and another Arab American.  At that, one 
of their members, DJ Kuttin Kandi, whom I know, is one of the few prominent 
female turntablists around.  They do a lot of dope things for the Asian 
American and hip hop community and having them here would be awesome.  

Now I wanted to ask you to please announce this to the other S.O.U.R.C.e groups 
for co-sponsorship.  The entire all day event will cost $2000, which PASA will 
be the main sponsor.  I am currently working on a budget proposal that I shall 
hand to all of the signers requesting funding but just wanted to give you the 
heads up.  This would be a great event to bring our community together and 
dance.

bring it and show you guys the video and some of their albums.
