Your "Drumming Journey" will begin in Africa, following the evolution of
African dispora music to Brazil, and to the United States with the
development
of contemporary funk and hip hop/rap rhythms. You'll learn about the
different
cultural styles of percussion music as well as the musical instruments
themselves.
Provided will be a huge assortment of hand drums, stick drums, bells,
rattles,
bass drums, and Balafons for participants to use.
All levels of drumming experience welcome (bring your own instrument if you
wish!).
