Although feminism and the fight for gender equality has been labeled as a
"women's issue" for past decades, understanding the greater social impact of
sexual violence has broadened the "issue".  Until we, as men*, take an active
roll in ending sexual violence, 1/4 women in the US will be raped including our
mothers, our sisters, and our loved ones.  This Thursday, April 10th at 6:30
there will be a candle light vigil for men to take a stand.  This vigil will
address the power and responsibility men have in stopping sexual violence
against women.  We can be the needed change of tomorrow.

What: Men Stand in Solidarity: A Candlelight Vigil Against Sexual
Violence

When: Thursday April 10th at 6:30

Where: Library Lawn

There will be a follow up Men's discussion group Thursday, April 17th, 8:00 at
the KIVA.

*Includes self identified men
