RAICES MEETING THURS. MAY 2ND <6:00PM> WOMEN'S CENTER
Hey Everyone!.. we'll be having a RAICES meeting this thurs.
may 2nd at 6:00pm . dinner as always, and we should make some final
funding decisions. about the cinco de mayo BBQ, permanent videos/books
for the cultural center, and co-sponsoring the source BBQ, as well
as a final dinner for all of us to go out to.
hope to see everyone there.. bring a friend if you know someone
who has been wanting to come, but hasnt had time or couldnt make
our tues. meetings.

FOR LATINO HERITAGE MONTH
IN THE FALL
My name is Bobby Gonzalez, and I am a Native American/Latino lecturer,
storyteller and poet based in New York City.
I have given presentations at Carnegie Hall, the National Museum of the
American Indian and the University of Minnesota.
Among the slideshow programs in my repertoire are:
The Indigenous Heritage of Latin America: From Arawak to Zapotec.
The Tainos: the Native Americans Who Discovered Columbus.
Genocide in the Americas: From Columbus to Chiapas.
My latest book of poetry is titled Song of the American Holocaust.
