</div>
<div>Additionally, there will be a career panel where you
will have the chance to hear from professionals on how to
get started in the world of sustainability the following
outstanding people: </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div><b>Naomi Valentine</b> is a Project Manager for the
Ecological Restoration Team at the Amherst SWCA office.
SWCA is a full-spectrum environmental consulting firm.
SWCA provides cultural resource, natural resource,
ecological restoration, stormwater compliance and
monitoring, site assessment and remediation, landscape
architecture/design, and planning services. The majority
of Ms. Valentine’s time is spent assisting in the
organization and management of the Ecological Restoration
Team, along with its other Project Managers. She also
assists with wetland delineation, ecological data
collection, restoration project organization, Stormwater
Pollution Prevention Plans, resource area
creation/restoration construction, and various other
ecological services. Ms. Valentine performs data
assessment associated with these field projects and
manipulates data into comprehensive reports, permit
applications and maps with ARC Geographic Information
Systems (GIS).</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div><b>Nina Peluso</b> works at Synapse Energy Economics
Inc. (Cambridge, MA) as a Research Associate. she studied
public policy/energy systems at the University of Michigan
and did typical large-firm consulting at ICF in Washington
DC for a year before moving to Boston to work at Synapse.
She also interned at DTE Energy in Detroit in college, so
I think she has a unique perspective on the various types
of employers across the energy sector. She also noted that
she spent a large portion of undergrad leading
professional development activities for a pre-law society
and has “spent considerable time musing about different
graduate school pathways” and assisting peers with both
job and school applications.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div><b>Ashleigh Gilchrist</b> is a staff engineer (and a
very recent grad!) in Tighe & Bond’s Land Use and
Transportation group. Ashleigh recently received her
Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering
from the University of New Hampshire. Her experience
includes internships focused on stormwater, wastewater,
and drinking water projects. Her senior capstone project
was centered around culvert analysis in Georgetown, ME. At
Tighe & Bond Ashleigh works on renewable energy and
real estate development projects.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, the career panel cannot be recorded;
however, the breakout sessions will be! So if you are
unable to attend but you are still interested in hearing
from fellow students, the recording are a great way to
tune in! </div>
