Climate Fictions: Communicating climate change through journalism and
creative writing at *FPH West Lecture Hall* with reporter/climate activist
Kert Davies and marine ecologist/film-maker Charlene D'Avanzo - with lunch!!

"Mount Holyoke Climate Justice Coalition will be holding a divestment
rally outside
of *Mary Lyon Hall.* This will be part of a Fossil Fuel Divestment Day of
Action that will include various other (remote/accessible) actions, urging
the Board to vote #YesToDivest this month. Here is a link to the facebook

#marchforscience: why how signs mean matters* @ **cole room 333*
This event is geared towards learning about appropriate poster making for
the mach for science on earth day 4/22, but anyone going to the People's
Climate March would probably also benefit going to this. Hosted by RPI Prof
and hamp alum Mike Fortun via ISIS.


*Wednesday 4/19 5:30pm*
New Leaf meeting at the "*outdoor classroom*" aka rocks in front of the
kern (look for us inside if the weather is wacky). From there, we can
carpool/take the 6:10pm 39 bus to go see...

*7pm-9pm*
....*Jill Stein *at *Smith College Weinstein Auditorium (Wright Basement)*!!!
Some of the topics she will discuss with opportunities for questions:
-state of the environment
-how current administration will impact the environment & how to combat its
contemptible actions
-being a woman in politics
-leading a party [as a woman]
-motivation for leading 3rd party
-background
-education about Green-Rainbow Party platform
-intersection between LGBTQ & environmental activism in politics
-future of 2-party system

*Thursday 4/20*
"Before The Flood" film screening at *Amherst Cinema*, pick up tickets for
freeeee at the *Dean of Students Office* (2nd floor merrill living room).
Movie features Leonardo DiCaprio on a journey as a United Nations Messenger
of Peace, traveling to five continents and the Arctic to witness climate

Earth Day stay tuned for an all day schedule of events & rsvp to the fb
event.

*Saturday 4/29*
People's Climate March -- If you missed the chance to sign up for
transportation to D.C., consider going to the *Sister People's Climate
March in Springfield *on the same day (flier attached).
