Hello!

For anyone interested in the MA Students Working With Sustainability
Coordinators (MSSCOR) Convocation which is happening at Hampshire
College on April 9th, you need to submit a < 1 page page abstract to
rick.reibstein at state.ma.us by March 1st - which is this Friday! If
you are working on any cool project related to sustainability that
you'd like to present at a state-wide event, you should definitely
write up an abstract! You don't actually need to be working with a
sustainability coordinator, but you do need to have your abstract
reviewed by a faculty/staff member.

Full information below:

"MSSCOR was founded to increase information sharing among university
and college sustainability coordinators. Because so many
sustainability coordinators work with students, MSSCOR organized a
Spring Convocation in April, 2012, dedicated to the topic of the
student contribution. The event was so successful Hampshire is
hosting the Second Spring Convocation, to be held April 9. We invite
Sustainability Coordinators to encourage the students with whom they
work to share information about the work they have done. The morning
will consist of presentations from students that have been selected by
interested Massachusetts University or College Presidents, invited to
participate in the selection by Jonathan Lash, the president of
Hampshire College and former President of the World Resources
Institute, and Second Nature, the organization that originated the
Presidents of the American College and University Presidents' Climate
Commitment. Participating presidents will choose from abstracts
submitted jointly by students and sustainability coordinators,
selecting the ones that they think merit the most attention at this
time.  Sustainability Coordinators are encouraged to work with
students to prepare these presentations. The deadline for submissions
is March 1, 2013. To see what the First Spring Convocation produced,
please visit the MSSCOR webpage hosted by Second Nature at
http://www.campusgreenbuilder.org/MSSCOR.
Here are the submission requirements:

The submission should include a statement that the paper has been
reviewed and approved by staff or faculty, with a description of their

paper.

opportunities for sharing information from papers not selected for
