Hello All,****
See info below about a great opportunity for students interested in
Sustainability. Please share with students and spread the word with your
colleagues:****
** **
Do you know a student who’s passionate about protecting and preserving the
planet and wants to make a difference right here on the UMass Amherst
campus? Please encourage them to apply to participate in* IdeaLab: The
Sustainable University*, to be held over two weekends, March 30-April 1 and
April 20-22 at UMass. This workshop is a partnership of the National
Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance - *NCIIA* and the *UMass
Campus Sustainability Initiative.*****
* *
What is IdeaLab? It's is a highly intensive and experiential workshop for
students that allows them to explore critical environmental issues faced by
large institutions like universities, learn to evaluate them and quickly
iterate to come up with the best solutions to the most pressing problems.
UMass Amherst sustainability staff will be on hand throughout the workshop
and will be seriously evaluating the practicality and effectiveness of
applying these ideas on campus. ****
****
Students from all majors and backgrounds who are interested in developing
ideas and products to help reduce the university’s impact on the
environment are encouraged to apply. More information and the application
can be found here: http://www.invention2venture.org/idealabumass/. ****
Application deadline is March 1 so have them apply today! ****
