[Newleaf] Tar Sands Pipeline: Great News!

Hello New Leaf,

Just wanted to share the great news - the Obama administration announced today
that it would stop to reevaluate the environmental review of the Keystone XL
tar sands pipeline!  Obviously it's not over yet, but this is a great victory,
and it will keep the tar sands pipeline from being approved this year, at the
very least.

Here's the link to the Sierra Club article - there's also a form where you can
send a thank you message to Obama if you are so inclined, to show that we
support his decision.

It's awesome that New Leaf was representing Hampshire College at the DC protest
- clearly we were part of a big impact.

Also, an update on the Climax - we are approved to write an article about the
tar sands protest for the next issue of the Climax (also the last issue of the
semester, believe it or not).  The deadline isn't until December 4th for some
reason, so there's plenty of time.  Becca, if you have any questions about
writing this article let me know.
