Hamilton College seeks an energetic, creative and forward-thinking
individual to join our
Library and Information Technology Services (LITS) division in the role of
Programmer
Analyst. This position is responsible for supporting the administrative
systems that help achieve
the mission of the College. Working with other teams in LITS, we select,
create, integrate and
deliver “best of breed” solutions to our user community. There is a strong
commitment to
excellence among all teams in LITS backed by strong leadership support.
Much of the work of
this position is to provide programming, integration, and support to create
strategic advantage
and increase the efficiency of College operations. The Programmer Analyst
reports to the
Director of Enterprise Information Systems (EIS), a member of the LITS
leadership team.
In recent years, members of EIS have implemented a document management
system, oversaw
the development of a Hamilton smartphone app, supported new ways of
recruiting students,
implemented a new design for the Hamilton web site, improved business
processes in
administrative offices, and enhanced the security of sensitive information.
The EIS team
provides a strong software foundation that permits all college offices to
deliver excellent
services. Currently, there are many exciting new initiatives that the
campus is striving for
including implementing Data Analytics, and various Customer Relationship
Management (CRM)
solutions to enhance engagement with our constituents.

Originally founded in 1793 as the Hamilton-Oneida Academy, Hamilton’s
1,350-acre hilltop
campus overlooks the New England-style Village of Clinton, New York, in
close proximity to
the Adirondack Park. Its open curriculum gives students the freedom to
tailor their own liberal
arts education within a research- and writing-intensive framework. The
highly selective college
