Kasper, will run from April 4<FONT class="Apple-style-span" size="2"><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 9.16667px;">th</SPAN></FONT> through April 28<FONT class="Apple-style-span" size="2"><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 9.16667px;">th</SPAN></FONT> at the gallery in the Liebling Center for Film, Photography and Video, at Hampshire College.</P><P class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 48px;">Michael Kasper, who works as a reference librarian at Amherst College, is also a widely published author and graphic artist. According to critic Richard Kostelanetz, in the <I>Dictionary of the Avant-Gardes</I><SPAN style="">, Kasper has, over years, produced “a series of tart visual/verbal fictions…that his peers commonly rank among the best.”</SPAN></P><P class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 48px;">The Hampshire show, curated by Assistant Professor of Photography Robert Seydel, includes original collages from the 1970’s and 1980’s, complete paste-ups for two artist’s books, and an array of published work, drawn from over three decades’ production. There will be a reception for the artist in the gallery on Tuesday, April 10<FONT class="Apple-style-span" size="2"><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 9.16667px;">th</SPAN></FONT>, at 4:30 pm.</P><P class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 48px;">The gallery in the Liebling Center is open Sundays through Thursdays from 1 pm to midnight, and Fridays and Saturdays from 1 pm to 6.
