This workshop will help you work out some of the kinks of converting your prints into unique book covers (or "cases"). Woodcuts, etchings, monotypes, state proofs, heavy Western papers, thin Asian papers, even digital prints--whatever you've got has great possibilities. You'll learn what to consider in choosing materials and adhesives, and how to measure the parts to achieve a proper fit. We'll look at a variety of ways of transforming prints into cases, and practice two of the simpler structures: the accordion and the "flat-back case." No experience is necessary--just bring your extra prints (lousy proofs are perfect for practicing!).

To register, call Zea Mays Printmaking at 413.584.1783 or visit the website at www.zeamaysprintmaking.com and click on Workshops.
