Beyond Helvetica: A Look at the Power of Typography
Lectures by Ken Barber and François Rappo

Type designer Ken Barber of House Industries joins François Rappo, head 
of the graduate program in Art Direction at ECAL/University of Art & 
Design, Lausanne, Switzerland, in lectures to accompany the current 
exhibition at the MIT Museum Compton Gallery.  The exhibition, /Types We 
Can Make/, presents recent work by students and faculty at ECAL.  The 
exhibition will remain open on Wednesday, October 27 until 6:30 pm for 
visitors attending the lectures.  The MIT Museum Compton Gallery is 
located in MIT Building 10, Room 150, accessible from the main entrance 
to the campus at 77 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge.  

This event is organized by the MIT Museum and supported by The Consulate 
of Switzerland/swissnexboston
