Just wanted everyone to know that the Craft Center in the UMass Student
Union (http://www.umass.edu/rso/craftctr/) has been featuring "Marbling
Mondays". They are prepared to instruct and assist one and all who--for a
very modest fee--would like to try their hand at marbling paper. I took my
undergraduate book history class there the other day, and it was very
possibly the highlight of the semester! In addition, the Center is also
beginning to offer classes and assistance in the making of books,
papermaking, and other related book practices. Their hours are 11-5 on
weekdays, but the Monday Marbling sessions are especially worthwhile just
now as they're the featured craft for that day of the week!
Best,
Jim
