[Libri] book arts shows on the Hampshire College campus

Dear Colleagues,

I wanted to draw your attention to a small show in the Main
Gallery  in the library at Hampshire of some of our artist
books and illustrated books.  The show includes works by
Barry Moser, John Cage, and Meg Sanders.  The shows closes
on Monday the 24th.

During the month of October, there will be a small show on
James Baldwin's Five College years in the Main Gallery.
This exhibition focuses on a number of events in during the
years when Baldwin was a five college visiting professor of
literature located first at Hampshire and later at UMASS. 
It includes a number of never published photographs, copies
of all of his books, including the collaborations he did
with such luminaries as Margaret Mead, Leonard Baskin, and
Richard Avedon, and some archival documents from the
collections of various of the Valley institutions.  The
reception for this show and the accompanying faculty
exhibition will be held on 13 October from 3:30-4:30.  Also
on the 13th will be a panel discussion on Baldwin on the
Hampshire College campus. Both of these activities are free
and open to the public.
