Dear Colleagues,

Throughout the month of September in the Film/Photo Building on the
campus of Hampshire College, there is a memorial exhibition of the work
of Meg Sanders, Emily Richardson, and Em Doran. They were all graduates
of the College in May 2004. Sanders was an accomplished book artist.
While a student, she had interned with Daniel Kelm and continued
working for him after she graduated. Meg was killed in an accident
with a truck on Elm Street in Northampton. Emily was a photographer
and Em was a writer. They had moved to the west coast and were killed
in a head-on collision in Oregon three days after Meg. The exhibition
makes it abundantly clear that each of these women would have made
important contributions to their chosen fields. The Film/Photo
Building is open from 9am until 10pm Mondays through Fridays, and in
the afternoons on Saturdays and Sundays.

The families and friends of Emily and Em will plant a tree and place a
stone bench on the lawn between the Robert Crown Center and Emily
Dickinson Hall on Saturday 9 September at 1pm. A reception will
follow in the Film/Photo Building.

On Wednesday the 20th, between 6 and 8pm, friends from Meg's
communities are coming together in the Film/Photo Building for a
reception. Everyone is welcome at any of these events.
