Dear Librarians,

The PVAAL Board regrets that David Godine will be unable to speak at
the event
on Monday, March 14th, due to sudden, unforeseen circumstances.
Fortunately,
two members of the local book community will be able to take his place.

David Bourbeau of the Thistle Bindery in Florence and Barbara
Blumenthal, a
local bookbinder and library assistant in the Mortimer Rare Book Room
at Smith,
will speak about the book Paradise Printed & Bound: Book Arts in
Northampton &
Beyond, ed. Barbara Blumenthal. Ms. Blumenthal and Mr. Bourbeau's
contribution
to this book include chapters about the history of local book arts and
Northampton's legendary Gehenna Press. In addition to discussing the
book and
its creation, Ms. Blumenthal and Mr. Bourbeau will have copies of it
available
for purchase and signing.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the program.

Kind Regards,

Amy Chapman, on behalf of the PVAAL Board
