ELM PRESS AT SMITH COLLEGE: Exhibition & Event on OCTOBER 7

"Collaborations: Enid Mark and the ELM Press" is an exhibition of books
produced by artist Enid Mark at her ELM Press near Philadelphia over
nearly twenty years. She has collaborated with a number of writers,
bookbinders, and printers to create these limited editions, including
local bookbinders Barbara Blumenthal and Sarah Creighton and local
printers Dan Keleher and Art Larson. Her books are on display in the
Book Arts Gallery in Neilson Library at Smith College during the month
of October during regular Library hours (approx. 8 am to midnight most
days).

On THURSDAY, OCTOBER 7, from 4-6 pm, in the Neilson Library Browsing
Room, there will be a reading featuring four poets published in ELM
Press books (Annie Boutelle, Celia Gilbert, Susan Snively, and Eleanor
Wilner), as well as a conversation between Enid Mark and curator of
rare books at Smith College, Martin Antonetti. There will be a
reception following in the Book Arts Gallery (third floor).

For more information, contact Barbara Blumenthal in the Mortimer Rare
Book Room, Smith College (585-2906 or bblument at smith.edu.
