Lifetime Achievement Medal

We are very pleased to present this medal to Eric Carle for his lifelong
dedication to children¹s literature.

 
A reception and book-signing will follow at the neighboring National Yiddish
Book Center. A special guest for the event will be John Cole, executive
director of the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress.  John will
speak about the Center for the Book organization and about its links to the
National Book Festival, also in its 3rd year this fall.


Please join us to celebrate the achievements of the authors, and to welcome
the Massachusetts Center for the Book to its new home at Hampshire College.
