[Libri] book-related events at Woolf conference at Smith

"Woolf in the Real World," the 13th annual conference on Virginia Woolf,
will take place at Smith College on June 5-8th. There are a number of
book-related activities and presentations. A full schedule is available
at the conference website: www.smith.edu/woolf or at the registration
desk in Neilson Library during the conference.
The following events are open to the public free of charge, but anyone
not registered for the conference may not attend receptions or meals:
Thursday, June 5, 6:45-8:45 pm
Book arts demonstrations (pastepapers by Claudia Cohen, wood
engraving by Abigail Rorer, bookbinding by Barbara Blumenthal, and
typesetting and letterpress printing by Michale Russem, Art Larson, and
Hosea Baskin). Mortimer Rare Book Room, Neilson Library, 3rd floor
Friday & Saturday, June 6 & 7, 10:30 am -2:00 pm & 3:30-5:30
Book and art fair, featuring new books about Woolf and her circle,
as well as artwork, broadsides & posters, and work by local book
printers, publishers, and bookbinders. Kahn Institute, Neilson Library,
3rd floor
Friday, June 6, 9-10:30 am
Hogarth Press: three short presentations on various aspects of the
Hogarth Press. Graham Hall, Brown Fine Arts Center
Friday, June 6, 11:00am-12:30 pm
Books: two presentations, chaired by Barbara Blumenthal, one on the
Hogarth Press by David Porter, a notable collector and scholar about the
HP, and one on an altered book by Carolyn Byrd. Seelye Hall 201
Saturday, June 7, 1:00-2:30 pm
"The Hogarth Press and Its Legacy": chaired by Karen Kukil; four
short presentations. Seelye Hall 106
