organizations fighting poverty around the
country. Spend next year creating an
active Jewish community while learning
about yourself and partnering with service
providers and residents in low income

Imagine waking up and making a difference,
having real responsibility and being asked
for your input. You'll be working
full-time at a local non-profit on tough
issues like immigration, hunger,
education, public health, and domestic
violence. This is not your typical first

You'll get a small monthly living stipend,
travel money, health insurance, and may be

AVODAH has affordable housing in Chicago,
New Orleans, New York City, and Washington
DC where young people (ages 21 - 26) live,

one of the most memorable parts of the
AVODAH experience.</span></div>

of poverty?</strong> You'll be part of
an ongoing program to examine the causes
and effects of urban poverty, develop
practical skills and make professional
connections. The curriculum explores

will join hundreds of others as part of a
