She travels widely, addressing the intersection of traditional Jewish observance and contemporary life, with a special focus on Jewish women in Jewish law and life. Her book, Total lmmersion: A Mikvah Anthology (Jason Aronson l996), has been widely acclaimed and is alre<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline; ">ady in its third printing. Her next book; "Bread and Fire; Jewish Women find God in the Everyday", was published by Urim in 2005.</span><br>
<br>Rivkah Slonim will be joining us in Seelye Hall at Smith College from 7:30-9 PM, after which she will be taking questions and there will be schmoozing. <br><br>This event is free and open to the public. No prior knowledge is required.</span></span></div>
