The Union of Progressive Zionists is partnering with New Israel Fund and
IsraelExperts to bring you TWO unique Taglit-birthright Israel
opportunity!
These trips, which are a free gift from Taglit-birthright Israel, are
designed for those looking to experience both Israel's beauty and its
complexity, as they grapple with the challenges facing Israel and the
Jewish
people as a whole. Anyone ages 18-26 (or turning 27 after May 1st) is
welcome on the May trip, and the July trip is for ages 22 - 26 only.

"Peace, Pluralism, and Social Justice," is the only birthright option
that
explores Israel from a progressive perspective, focusing on both
domestic
social and political issues as well as larger questions of a just and
lasting peace for Jews and Arabs both. Participants will:

Meet with Israeli and Palestinian politicians, peace activists
educators and
journalists;
· Learn about and visit NGOs and activists working for social justice in
Israel;
· See the separation barrier and find out how it affects everyday life
for
Israelis and Palestinians;
· Get a feel for the different sectors of Israeli society;
· Tour famous sites such as Masada, The Israeli Knesset, the Sea of
Galilee
and have a night out in Tel Aviv;
· Understand the complexities of the country and develop a meaningful
connection to the land and the people of Israel

You are eligible for a Taglit-birthright Israel trip if you have never
been
to Israel on a peer group tour before. If you are eligible, don't miss
this
amazing opportunity! Also, please spread the word to everyone and
anyone
who might be interested. Registration for these trips fill very
quickly.
Registration begins Feb 12!!

The 18-26 year old trip will leave May 19th and return to the United
States
on May 30th. The 22+ trip will leave in July.

The last trip filled up within three weeks, so don't wait. If you would
like to travel in July, but (understandably) can't be certain until the
dates are finalized, sign up anyways!
