Based in Washington, D.C., _Machon_ Kaplan is an internship program for
college students interested in Judaism and social justice. 

 Participants have a meaningful social justice internship at a
locally-based advocacy organization, engage in study related to their
internship and share their experience with a community of like-minded
students. 

 Exploring the intersection of Judaism, social justice and American
ideals, _Machon_ Kaplan interns work at organizations [5] as diverse as
the National Council of Jewish Women, the NAACP and the United Nations
Foundation.
