Shalom

Ever dreamed of making over $20 an hour just for studying? The Sinai
Scholar's program knows your time is valuable (and definitely worth more
than $8/hour), so they're offering a $350 stipend to students who want to
learn more about Judaism but couldn't (or wouldn't) otherwise be able to
take time out of their busy schedules: $350 for attending eight two-hour
classes about Judaism taught by a local Rabbi… no joke! Last semester,
Amherst College hosted the program but closed it to 5-College students;
but Mount Holyoke is hosting the program this semester and has decided to
invite 5-College students. This is a really great opportunity both to learn
AND to connect with the 5-College Jewish community.

Check out www.sinaischolars.com for more about the program. In short, the
Sinai Scholars Society offers a fresh and exciting program across university
campuses. It integrates Torah study, social activities, and national
networking opportunities to allow students to understand the contemporary
significance of the Jewish experience. *THE PROGRAM IS NOT A BIG TIME/WORK
COMMITMENT! *It requires you to attend eight two-hour classes and a short
(we're talking 5-pages-double-spaced short) paper. To find a meeting time
that works for everyone, the course instructor and Mt. Holyoke student
coordinator (Sophia Neirman; MoHo's JSU "signer") have come up with a few
regular/weekly meeting times/places for you to vote on:

Monday, 7–9pm, MHC

Tuesday, 7–9pm, MHC

Wednesday, 5–7pm, Amherst Center

Thursday, 5–7pm, Amherst Center

If you're interested email mac08 at hampshire.edu about which times work for
you, and I'll forward it on to Sophia.

All the best,

Maia "Frances" Campbell
