Just a quick mention of what else is going on in the Five Colleges for Purim:

Monday, March 9.....................................
Megillah Reading and Purim Celebration
Amherst College Alumni House - Behind Lord Jeff Inn
6:15pm, Traditional Megillah Reading
7:30pm Abridged Megillah Reading
Costumes encouraged
Hamantashen, skits, spiel, arts and crafts
Wednesday, March 11...............................
JSU's Purim Masquerade Celebration
8:00-10:00pm, Student Union Ballroom
It's time to celebrate with our fabulous community at UMass Amherst. Come dance,
make groggers, eat delicious food, and celebrate Purim with JSU! Wear costumes,
 and masks. All welcome. Free.

Chabad will also be driving a Purim party bus around the Valley all day on
Tuesday, on which the Megillah will be read intermittently. It should get to
Hampshire by 5pm.
Monday night, there will also be a Megillah reading at Chabad, beginning at
7:30pm. It will be followed by food (to break the Fast of Esther) and partying
- if you haven't partied with Chabad before, Purim is a great event to start
on.

Monday night (3/9) beginning at 9pm is "Plastered Purim Party," hosted by
several UMass students in their house at 845 North Pleasant St. I think the
title about says it all. There's a Facebook event posting for it and
everything. All are encouraged to dress up - it's Purim, after all! The party
is expected to go on til about 2am...

For those observing the Fast of Esther, it begins Monday (3/9) morning at about
5:40am, and ends no earlier than 7:32pm. Have an easy fast, and a joyous
holiday!

Chag Sameach! Happy Adar!
