This is an e-mail from Hebrew Union College (HUC), the Reform movement's
school to train rabbis, cantor and educators.

Shalom from HUC,

I am a second year students at Hebrew Union College and an intern for
the Admissions and Recruiting Office. I am writing to inform you of an
event that I think some of your students at Hampshire may find
interesting.

This spring (on March 29-30) HUC is having an open house across all
three campuses. The goal of the event is to open up the campus for
anyone who might be interested in studying at Hebrew Union College
(future Rabbis, Cantors, and Educators) to come and visit. The event
will include learning sessions with Dr. Andrea Weiss (Bible professor
and co-editor of The Torah: a Women's Commentary) and Dr. Norman Cohen
(Provost of HUC-JIR and author of Moses and the Journey to Leadership)
and services led by Debbie Friedman as well as a taste of HUC through
our diverse catalogue of classes.

The event is free and we help out with travel expenses. We also will
provide home hospitality if needed. If you want to know more or want
to register, our event website is www.huc.edu/openhouse.

Again thank you so much and we look forward to connecting in the future.

Sincerely,

Marc Katz
2nd Year Rabbinical Student
Program Intern for Admissions and Recruitment

/"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."/
