As I mentioned before, we are very excited to be having our own services
this year for the evening of Rosh Hashanah, First Day Rosh Hashanah,
Evening of Yom Kippur and Yom Kippur Day. In addition, there will be
Rosh Hashanah meals, a pre-fast dinner and Break-Fast.
We need volunteers from the Jewish community on campus to make this
work. So if you are interested in: leading prayers, English readings,
reading Torah, cooking meals, setting up chairs, putting out publicity
or anything else please e-mail me ASAP and let me know.
We will have a planning dinner meeting on Tuesday Sept. 16 @ 6:15 PM
in the Dakin (not Merrill) Living Room (note change in time since last
e-mail). There will be food from Fresh Side. So put it on your
calendar. We all need to work together to make this a success!
L'shanah tovah and Shabbat Shalom,
spn

/"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."/
