Simchat Torah/Rejoicing with the Torah ends the Jewish fall festival
cycle. As we finish reading from the book of Deuteronomy and begin
reading again from the beginning of Genesis we sing, dance and celebrate
with the Torah - and each other!

Join members of the five college community for this joyous festival!
Celebrated this year at Amherst College.
If you need a ride or can give someone a ride please e-mail Rabbi Steve
at snathan at hampshire.edu by Tuesday at noon. We will meet by the FPH
parking lot near the Merrill Student Life building at 6:30 to carpool
over. Hope to see you there!

/"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."/
