Shelter Sunday is an annual event in Amherst where volunteers go
door-to-door collecting money for the various homeless shelters, food
banks and other service delivery locations in the area. I have been
asked to recruit some volunteers from the Hampshire community.
Volunteers meet on the Commons at noon and then go out in small groups
to canvas.

If you are interested in volunteering please e-mail me directly by
Friday 10/17 @ 1:00 pm. If you don't get around to doing that, then you
can also register as a volunteer through the Shelter Sunday website.
But it would be great to have a good size group coming from Hampshire.

For more info on Shelter Sunday, or if you need to register on your own
after Friday at 1:00, go to www.sheltersunday.org .

Shalom/Salaam,

SPN

/"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."/
