    Wed Nov 12 14:52:01 EST 2008

I forgot to include that this is happening TONIGHT. Since it's at 7:00
it's still possible to attend this and the 8:30 discussion (if you have
a car or get a ride).
Israel Siriri, the leader of the Abuyadaya Jewish community of Kenya
will be speaking at the JCA (the local Amherst synagogue) 742 Main St.
in Amherst (down the hill from the Emily Dickinson Museum). There will
be a light buffet dinner at 6:00 and he will be speaking at 7:00. Come
and learn about this amazing Jewish community!

/"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."/
