On Tuesday March 25 at 5:30 PM, award-winning Israeli author Meir Shalev
will be delivering the annual Grinspoon lecture at Hampshire College.
He will be speaking about war, love and literature in Israel as part of
our recognition of the 60th birthday of the State of Israel. This will
take place in the Main Lecture Hall of FPH.

This is the day after we return from spring break, so I'm sending out an
early reminder for you to put in your calendar!

"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."

-Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel
