Dear friends,
Well it's time to start our weekly lunches again! I was hoping to do it
last week, but I wasn't feeling well. Though my sinuses still seem to
be revolting against the constant weather changes, I plan on being in
the back dining room at Saga tomorrow (Thursday) at noon. However,
rather than doing text study, I'd like to have a discussion about what
people would like to study this semester not only at lunch on Thursdays
but late afternoon on Tuesdays. My plan is to do some late afternoon
text study courses on specific topics, so I'd like to find out what
topics you'd like to learn about. So please bring your ideas with you
(and no idea is too crazy or off the wall. This is Hampshire after
all). See you at noon!

"The more deeply immersed I became in the thinking of the prophets, the
more powerfully it became clear to me what the lives of the prophets
sought to convey: that morally speaking there is no limit to the concern
one must feel for the suffering of human beings. It also became clear to
me that in regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society,
some are guilty, all are responsible."
