Shalom,

Hope everyone's summer went well. The High Holidays are upon us and
I'll be sending out info on services as I get it. The Smith/Amherst
Hillel info is below. UMass Hillel schedule is on their website:
www.umasshillel.org . If you want to celebrate in a local synagogue
contact Rabbi Bruce Seltzer (Smith/Amherst) at bseltzer at smith.edu or
585-2755 for tickets.

That's all for now.

ROSH HASHANAH DISCUSSION WITH APPLES & HONEY
Want to learn what the ancient rabbis would have to say about the
tragedy of September 11th? Rosh Hashanah is about forgiveness, rebirth
and renewal, but how can we move on after the tragedy of 9/11? What
would the rabbis advise us? What do you think? Join Leora Maccabee
and other members of the Hillel board for apples, honey and an
interactive discussion about the meaning of Rosh Hashanah in relation
to our lives today this Saturday, September 7th at 3pm on the Freshman
Quad.
