Rehamping, our contractor for the college, and all other stakeholders in the Barn project are finishing their construction timeline and are moving forward at full speed. A proposal form shall be available shortly. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Validation of voting results:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst style='text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2'><![if !supportLists]><span style='mso-list:Ignore'>1.<span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'> </span></span><![endif]>A large part of this first run of town meeting voting system, Qualtrics, was finding out where the major flaws were and developing fixes for them. One major concern was the lack of a tie to the college’s common login system Shibboleth. Another issue was the lack of lack of compatibility with some mobile devices. Version two of the town meeting voting system has been upgraded to include a much stronger voter verification system that includes Shibboleth. It also now works with all standards complaint mobile browsers. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoListParagraphCxSpLast style='text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l1 level1 lfo2'><![if !supportLists]><span style='mso-list:Ignore'>2.<span style='font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"'> </span></span><![endif]>Data validation is complete for this last polling. Validation was accomplished through pattern recognition across five quantitative metrics and one qualitative metric: IP addresses, time, date, duration, result, and comments. Pattern recognition was performed within Qualtrics itself and the raw data was also processed with Excel. Pattern recognition screened all five metrics for similarities. The comments as a whole were read; major and minor flaws were identified and fixed for this Next Town meeting.
