<p class="MsoNormal">—Professor Janet Halley, the Royall
Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, will give a lecture
entitled, “<b>Towards a Legal Realist Analysis of Campus
Sexual Misconduct</b>” at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17,
in Cole Assembly Room, Converse Hall, Amherst College. The
event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by
Amherst’s Lamont Lecture Fund, Office of the President and the
American Studies, Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought and
Political Science departments.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Professor Halley’s areas of interests
include Family Law, Sexuality and the Law and Gender Law. She
is the author of
<i>Split Decisions: How and Why to Take a Break from Feminism</i>
(Princeton 2006), and
<i>Don’t: A Reader’s Guide to the Military’s Anti-Gay Policy</i>
(Duke 1999). With Wendy Brown, she coedited
<i>Left Legalism/Left Critique</i> (Duke 2002), and with
Andrew Parker she coedited
<i>After Sex? New Writing Since Queer Theory</i> (Duke 2011)<em><span
