<p>Throughout his professional career, Alex has focused on sustainability, as a consultant and as an entrepreneur. At Ernst & Young LLP, and previously as Vice President for North America at Trucost, Alex has worked with corporate and investor clients on the integration of sustainability into core strategy across their operations through sustainability benchmarking, materiality assessment, and reporting and engagement. Alex began his career as a corporate sustainability analyst at KLD Research & Analytics, where he assessed the sustainability performance of corporations for institutional investors. While at KLD, Alex partnered with Newsweek magazine on the design, methodology and management of the inaugural Newsweek Green Rankings, the first quantitative environmental index by a mainstream media organization. </p>
<p>Alex is the Co-Founder and prior President of the Boston Area Sustainable Investment Consortium, which invests in start-ups around sustainability. He holds a BA from Hampshire College and an MBA in Sustainable Business from Bainbridge Graduate Institute. Alex describes Bainbridge as "very Hampshire" and highly recommends it to students interested in pursuing an MBA after Hampshire. <strong> </strong></p>
<p>While at Hampshire, Alex studied literature, philosophy, and comparative religion and he worked closely with Alan Hodder. </p>
<p>The Alum 1-2-1 program is your chance to have a 30-minute informal conversation with a a Hampshire alum. It’s your chance to brainstorm, ask questions, and bounce ideas off alums who are spending their lives doing what they love. Use CORC’s online scheduler (corchampshire.checkappointments.com) to sign up for a 30-minute 1-2-1 meeting with Alex. Be sure to include your division, phone number, and a brief note about your interests.</p>
