Are you interested in social justice law, or environmental law and policy?

Vermont Law School Info Session
Thursday, Nov. 13, 4:00, at CORC, 3rd Floor Library
includes dinner and snack food

VLS is a great program; our alums from VLS have very positive feedback on this school! VLS has a focus on using law and policy to make a difference. VLS offers both JD and Master's degrees - Master's in Environmental Law & Policy (MELP) or Energy Regulation & Law (MERL)

Here's more from the VLS web pages followed by a quote from an alum:

We are committed to developing a generation of leaders who use the power of the law to make a difference in our communities and the world. Because the status quo is no longer acceptable.
Vermont Law School students are world-class thinkers and doers. They participate in clinics and externships that give them experience representing underserved clients, conducting leading-edge research, and working with community groups. They take part in national trial advocacy, environmental and civil rights moot court competitions, and in arguments before the Vermont Supreme Court. They are scientists, hackers, hikers, and musicians. They are talented, sometimes quirky, entrepreneurial self-starters and self-selectors who believe in community. They are idealists interested in practical training. They are friends, activists, and leaders in the law.

"At Vermont Law School, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in environmental work. Between my professors, my colleagues, my course work and frequent workshops and lectures, I was steeped in the challenge of addressing environmental problems through legal and political mechanisms. My courses ranged from Ecosystem Management Law (where concepts of environmental protection were explored) to a special topics course in international climate law (which is taking me to Lima, Peru for COP20 as a part of the Vermont Law Observer Delegation). Vermont Law is an inspiring community full of hard-working and passionate learners, much like Hampshire. For a graduate-level education in the environmental sector, Vermont Law is simply unmatched."
Catherine Craig 08F, VLS-MELP program, 2014

We'll also provide information about a great Hampshire scholarship and other financial aid to VLS.

Master’s: http://www.vermontlaw.edu/academics/degrees/masters
Juris Doctor: http://www.vermontlaw.edu/academics/degrees/jd
