first of six outstanding lectures in our Fall series, "Challenges
to Legal Thought in the 21st Century, sponsored by the Hampshire Law
Program with support from many other entities on campus and in the
Five Colleges.</font></div>

Our guest is Jon van Dyke, Professor of Law at the University of
Hawaii Law School, speaking on "Reparations for Festering
Injustices". The talk will touch on the politics of racial
reparations with a special focus on the claims of native Hawaiians and
relevance to the debates about race-based remediation such as
reparations to African Americans for<br>
slavery.<br>
