Hello from Colorado Law!

Because of your involvement with your institution’s prelaw advising 
program, I wanted to introduce you to (or remind you about) a program 
through the University of Colorado Law School that is an excellent 
opportunity for your students – Mini Law School. As the program has 
grown, we have seen the number of prospective law students registered 
for Mini Law School increase and, last fall, we welcomed our first Mini 
Law School alumnae as a member of the class of 2020, inspired in part by 
his experience in Mini Law School. Because of your involvement with your 
institution’s prelaw program, I wanted to reach out to you with a

Launched six years ago, Mini Law School has grown over the last several 
years and, thanks to the use of technology, is *_now available 
nationwide_*. This eight-week series allows participants to learn about 
the legal profession, the law’s impact on people’s lives, and provides a 
small taste of law school. This series provides an opportunity for 
people to take a closer look at the role our legal system plays in some 
of society’s most pressing issues. Most importantly for the students you 
advise, Mini Law School provides a glimpse into law school life.

We are excited about this year’s curriculum, which is a “Hot Topics” 
series. It is a completely different curriculum than what we have 
presented in the past and all of the topics are very timely. This year’s 
topics include: *Who is the “Public” in Federal Public Lands?; 
Over-Incarceration in America – Safety or Scam?; Bad Lawyering; The 
Ever-Changing Face of Immigration Law; What is International Law?; The 
Government’s Speech and the Constitution; The Confrontation Clause; and 
Artificial Intelligence and Law*. If you would like more information

are on Tuesday evenings in Boulder, September 11 – November 13 from 6:00 
– 7:30 p.m. (there is no class September 18 or October 2). Our 
*_livestreaming and recorded viewing registration options_* allows 
people from all over the country to *_view the lectures on demand_* from 
the location of their choosing. I have attached a flyer that includes 
that pre-law discount that I encourage you to share with your students.
