[Hamp-law] Exciting Changes at Syracuse Law -$$ for NY State Residents

Greetings from *Syracuse College of Law*. We have three exciting changes 
that we wanted you to be made aware of.

**

*1). Syracuse College of Law is announcing a new initiative known as the 
Empire State Scholars Program.*Admitted students who enroll in fall 2017 
as new, 1-L, full-time students who are permanent New York State 
residents, will receive an automatic renewable *Empire State Scholars 
grant of $20,000 per year. ***

**

/Additional details: /

·In order to qualify for this grant, students must submit their 
*completed* application by *April 1, 2017* (priority deadline).

·This grant does not apply to transfer, visiting or continuing students.

·By implementing this grant, New York State residents will pay a base 
tuition price of $26, 460 per year (based on 2016-2017 tuition data).

·Empire State Scholar Grant recipients will be considered for additional 
merit-based scholarships during the review process.

*2). We have removed the GPA threshold requirement for scholarships.*

·Students simply need to remain in good academic standing each academic 
year for their merit based award(s) to be renewed.
