Greetings from Williamsburg!

The new academic year is upon us, and it’s an exciting time at William & 
Mary Law School. We want to share the good news with you.

Highlights include welcoming of the Class of 2019, our new Early 
Decision Program, construction of the Hixon Center for Experiential 
Learning and Leadership, and welcoming a new faculty member. As always, 
we are proud of what our community continues to accomplish, and look 
forward to exciting events planned for the rest of the year

*Law School Welcomes New Students*

236 members of the J.D. Class of 2019 were selected from a pool of 4,243 
applicants, hailing from 38 states, D.C., U.S. Virgin Islands, and four 
different countries. We also welcomed 52 students to our LL.M. program

*NEW Full-Tuition, Early Decision Program for 2016-17 Application Cycle*

ipherFor the first time, William & Mary Law School is offering early 
decision. This is a binding decision program designed for applicants who 
are confident that William & Mary is their first choice. Those admitted 
under the Early Decision Program will receive full-tuition scholarships.

*Hixon Center for Experiential Learning and Leadership *

& Mary Law School is addressing several important needs through the 
creation of the James A. and Robin L. Hixon Center for Experiential 
Learning and Leadership. The two-story, 12,000-square-foot building will 
house the Law School’s clinical programs and Legal Practice Program. The

*Hinz Leadership Fellowships for NCAA Athletes*

ipherThe Mary Siegrist Hinz Leadership Fellows program was initiated to 
recognize outstanding students at William & Mary Law School. Hinz 
Fellows must demonstrate academic distinction, community involvement,

*Kaylee R. Gum J.D. '16 Received State Pro Bono Award*

Gum received the Virginia State Bar's Oliver White Hill Pro Bono Award
