Tomorrow, Thursday, 9/17, Hampshire alum Jason Bethea will be tabling in
the library (in front of the Magic Board) from 11-2 to meet students and
recruit for internship positions at The Massachusetts Commission Against
Discrimination (MCAD). Jason interned at MCAD while a student. MCAD is
looking for interns for the Fall 2015, Spring 2016 semesters and Summer
2016.

The ideal candidates should have good written and oral communications
skills. Interns will receive calls from the public, determine whether
the agency has jurisdiction, conduct the intake interviews, and draft
complaints of discrimination. Interns also assist with investigating the
filed charges. Students will leave with a solid understanding of what
constitutes unlawful discrimination in the workplace. Many of our
interns have gone on to have successful careers in the legal, business,
and other fields.

If this sounds like the internship for you, stop by the library and meet
Jason to learn more!
