I am writing to let you know about two special opportunities for 
applicants to the 2015 entering class at Chicago-Kent College of Law at 
Illinois Institute of Technology. If you know of any students who might 
be interested in these programs, I would appreciate it if you would pass

*Honors Scholars Program*
*Application Deadline: Monday, February 16, 2015*

Through the Honors Scholars Program, Chicago-Kent attracts 
extraordinarily talented and motivated students with the potential to 
influence the legal profession’s direction. Chicago-Kent Honors Scholars 
receive *guaranteed annual awards of full tuition* for a total award of 
$134,415 over a three-year period. Honors Scholars also benefit from 
close collaboration with the dean and faculty throughout the three years 
of law school.

Chicago-Kent awards honors scholarships based on academic performance, 
leadership qualities, and co-curricular activities. Applicants should 
have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.50 and an LSAT score of at least 
160. There is no application fee.

*Oyez Scholars Program
Application Deadline: Friday, February 27, 2015*

The Oyez Scholars Program at Chicago-Kent College of Law selects 
outstanding first-year students to serve as *paid research assistants 
for Oyez.org <https://t.e2ma.net/click/htyz4o/dirn4g/l0q95ys> *during 
the first year.

Established in 1997, Oyez serves as a multimedia resource providing 
free, open access to the Supreme Court of the United States. 
Chicago-Kent College of Law has been the home of Oyez since 2011. 
Oyez.org and its mobile apps offer plain-English case summaries, 
decision information, opinions, and transcript-synchronized audio 
recordings dating back to 1955. The site receives 8 million annual 
visits and is cited by NPR, The New York Times, and CNN.

Student researchers create much of Oyez's content. As part of Oyez 
Scholars, students will be able to gain familiarity with the Court by 
direct contribution. From case summaries to in-depth Court analysis on 
contemporary topics, students will learn crucial job-related skills.
