Sign up for a movie outing to see "Selma" this Thursday, Feb. 5th (free
transportation, free movie ticket)! In order to reserve a ticket please
go to the Dean of Students office (2nd floor of Merrill Student Life
Center before 3pm on Thursday) to sign up. Only 1 rsvp per person first
come, first basis. There are only 14 spots available.

Vans will leave at 6:30pm from the bus circle behind the library for the
7:05pm showing at Cinemark Theater this Thursday February 5th.

More info about "Selma": Although the Civil Rights Act of 1964 legally
desegregated the South, discrimination was still rampant in certain
areas, making it very difficult for blacks to register to vote. In 1965,
an Alabama city became the battleground in the fight for suffrage.
Despite violent opposition, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (David Oyelowo)
and his followers pressed forward on an epic march from Selma to
Montgomery, and their efforts culminated in President Lyndon Johnson
signing the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
