I am very excited to inform you of three new initiatives at UDM Law
designed to make law school more affordable and to provide our students
with the tools they need to make a difference in their own lives and in
their communities.

  * *A New Scholarship Program*, described here
    <http://universityofdetroitmercyschooloflaw.createsend1.com/t/y-l-tktyhyy-jlkytliyw-u/>.
In addition to this program, UDM Law recognizes that students from
Hampshire College are particularly prepared to excel at the practice
of law, and students from your school may receive an additional
stipend based on their undergraduate success.

  * *A Certification in Immigration Law*. The ABA describes immigration
as a “hot area” of law, and UDM has a nationally-renowned
immigration faculty and award winning immigration clinic – a clinic
that is part of a larger clinical program just recognized by
    /prelaw/, a National Jurist publication,
    <http://universityofdetroitmercyschooloflaw.createsend1.com/t/y-l-tktyhyy-jlkytliyw-o/>
as one of the country’s best programs. Now, UDM Law is the first
law school in the U.S. to offer a Certificate of Immigration Law to
students who excel in a comprehensive series of immigration courses.

  * *An Expanded Dual Degree Program with the University of Windsor*,
only minutes away from our Detroit campus. This dual degree program
allows students to obtain both an American and Canadian degree in
three years – the same amount of time that it takes to earn one
degree. The program gives graduates the opportunity to distinguish
themselves in a competitive job market by being credentialed in two
different countries. It also offers courses in a wide range of
fields, including business law, immigration, family law,
    intellectual property, and human rights.

UDM Law’s new opportunities, coupled with our longstanding commitment to
social justice and to providing students with a significant practical
experience, allow our graduates to stand out amongst the competition
when they graduate. I hope that you will encourage students to consider
UDM Law School and forward this e-mail to any students you think might
be interested.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at

Sincerely,

Troy Harris
Interim Dean and Associate Professor of Law
