The Bill of Rights Defense Committee (www.bordc.org) is currently
accepting applications for a Legal Fellowship opportunity available to
new and recent law grads. BORDC also has internships available for
undergraduate students and recent graduates.

The legal fellowship will be most suited for those interested in
non-traditional legal careers including grassroots coalition
organizing, legal journalism, FOIA projects, and public speaking on
issues including racial, religious and national origin profiling by
police agencies; dragnet surveillance; torture and executive impunity;
and indefinite detention. The position will offer significant
visibility, substantive exposure, and media opportunities, but will
not entail courtroom exposure.

Undergraduate interns receive substantial opportunities, including
substantive research & writing on the issues that BORDC addresses,
research supporting grassroots coalitions in their local organizing
efforts, campus organizing, and social media promotion. While there is
a significant component of web research and data entry involved,
interns receive relatively little administrative work.

More information about both sets of opportunities, in addition to
application instructions, is available online at
http://bordc.org/newsletter/2013/05/#lf1 .
