Dear Pre-Law Advisor:

I am pleased to announce that Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts, is hosting the Northeast Regional Undergraduate Diversity Mock Trial Competition in conjunction with The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois. Undergraduate students will receive a mandatory training on Friday, March 30, 2012 and compete on Saturday, March 31, 2012. Individual competitors are also welcome; teams will be assigned at the conclusion of the training session on Friday, March 30, 2012. Each participant will be placed on a three-member team.

The mock trial materials are available at the links provided below. Law students will be on hand to assist in coordinating the program. Opportunities will be provided for the competing teams to interact with our law students to learn more about the law school experience.

If you are aware of any students or student groups that might be interested in competing for honors and up to $15,000 in tuition waivers to The John Marshall Law School in downtown Chicago and up to $16,200 in tuition waivers to Suffolk University Law School, please share this letter with them. The registration deadline is March 23, 2012.

The brochure and registration form can be viewed by going to the following link: http://www.jmls.edu/e-mail_blasts/diversity/mock-trials-2012/northeast.html<http://www.jmls.edu/e-mail_blasts/diversity/mock-trials-2012/southwest.html>

The case materials can be obtained by going to the following link (you may have to cut and paste the link into your web browser)*:

*Please be assured that the case has been designed to be learned quickly and no additional research is required. We have found that interested students can get up to speed by participating in the training session. Hardship waivers are available if the $15 registration fee would be an obstacle to participate.

Please contact me by telephone at 312-987-1411 or by e-mail at diversity at jmls.edu<mailto:diversity at jmls.edu>, if you have any questions regarding registration or the competition rules. We look forward to welcoming you and your teams to Boston.

Sincerely,
