Dear Pre-Law Advisor:

I am writing on behalf of Hon. Ariane D. Vuono, Associate Justice of the
Massachusetts Appeals Court. As the District Director of the National
Association of Women Judges, Judge Vuono is hosting a program entitled
"The Color of Justice," whose purpose is to encourage girls, women, and
minority students in high school, junior college, and college to
consider the law and judgeships as career goals.

The program, which is free to all attendees, will consist of panel
discussions with judges and lawyers who will share personal and
professional insights, followed by a question and answer session. The
program will conclude with a reception. Following are details:

WHEN: Wednesday, November 16, 3:00-5:30pm.

WHERE: Western New England University School of Law

CONFIRMED PANELISTS (as of 10/19/11):

Hon. Barbara Lenk, Supreme Judicial Court

Hon. MaryLou Rup, Hampden Superior Court

Hon. Amy Nechtem, Juvenile Court

Hon. Bertha Josephson, Superior Court

Hon. Patricia Dunbar, Juvenile Court

Hon. Tina Page, Superior Court

Hon. Anne Geoffrion, Probate and Family Court

Hon. Marylou Muirhead, Housing Court

Hon. Jacklyn M. Connelly, District Court

Suzanne Parker, Executive Director, Girls, Inc. of Holyoke

We would like to ensure that students from area schools are able to
attend and, if possible, determine approximately how many students will
be in attendance. To that end, I will send you a flyer in the coming
week, which you can make copies of to post at your school, and I would
very much appreciate your letting me know if you plan to arrange to
bring a group of students to what is sure to be an engaging and
enlightening event.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Becky Michaels
