Come hear about Jessi Swenson's (99F), experience at the University of
California Hastings College of the Law, gaining experience in public
interest law, and her current work as a Law and Policy Fellow at the
Rebecca Project for Human Rights in Washington, D.C.
If you're a Hampshire student considering law school, or you are
interested in public policy reform, social justice
and women's rights, you won't want to miss this great opportunity to

Jessi Leigh Swenson, J.D.- is a Law and Policy Fellow at the Rebecca
Project for Human Rights in Washington, D.C.. Rebecca Project is a
national legal and policy organization that advocates for U.S. public
policy reform, justice, and dignity for vulnerable women and girls.
As a Law Students for Reproductive Justice Fellow, she is also
involved in the Georgetown Women's Law and Public Policy Fellowship
Program. At Rebecca Project, Jessi Leigh is working on expanding
federal support for family-based substance abuse treatment. Jessi
Leigh received her B.A. from Hampshire College in 2003 (Div III was
titled "NAACP vs. Levittown: Race, Housing, and the Development of the
American Suburb") and her J.D. from University of California Hastings
College of the Law, where she served as an Editor-in-Chief of Hastings
Women's Law Journal and President of Law Students for Reproductive
Justice. She also represented indigent clients at Hasting's Civil
Justice Individual Representation Clinic. Her note, “Realizing
Ledbetter’s Dream with DIY Sensibility” was published in Hastings
Women’s Law Journal in 2010.
